We are living in a world more tired, more anxious, more stressed, more depressed and angry than at any other point in recent history. The people we meet and spend time with every single day need so much more than empty words, fancy slogans and a passing lie in the form of “I’ll pray for you.” When we look to the example that Jesus set He didn’t show up and talk about love, acceptance, and forgiveness, He showed up AS love, acceptance, and forgiveness. He didn’t tell people that they would one day find life he GAVE them LIFE, he SHOWED them LIFE and then he turned his gaze down the barrel of the future to look at us and told us to go and BE the same thing in the lost, hurting and broken world that we’re living in.
